FAQ

The best way to find out is through a consultation with our intake team at Silicon Valley Therapy. They will help assess whether my approach aligns with what you are looking for. I work best with people who are motivated, capable, and ready to be challenged. If you are looking for someone who will hold you accountable and push you toward real change, we will likely work well together. If you are looking for a purely supportive space without direction, I may not be the right fit, and we will tell you that upfront.

Your first step is a complimentary consultation with our intake team at Silicon Valley Therapy. They will learn about what brought you in, what you are hoping to get out of therapy, and whether my approach is the right match. There is no pressure and no commitment. If you would like to consult with me directly, that is available as a paid session.

Book a consultation through Silicon Valley Therapy. You will speak with a member of our intake team who will walk you through the process, answer any initial questions, and help determine if we are a good fit. From there, we will get you scheduled.

I typically have availability within one to two weeks. For an initial consultation, the intake team at Silicon Valley Therapy can usually get you scheduled within a few days. Book directly through my scheduling system or reach out by phone or text.

I use a 10-session treatment planning framework. We set goals early, check in at regular intervals, and decide together whether to extend, shift focus, or wrap up. Some clients get what they need in a focused block of sessions. Others work with me for months or years as new challenges arise. There is no minimum commitment.

Each session is yours to bring what matters most that week. I hold the structure around it using a 10-session treatment planning framework with check-ins at sessions 4, 7, and 10. Between those checkpoints, you set the agenda. My job is to notice patterns, challenge avoidance, and keep us moving toward your goals. Sessions are direct, focused, and built around producing results.

My framework is Existential-Integrative, which means I draw from multiple evidence-based approaches depending on what will be most effective for you. These include Gestalt, ACT, IFS, somatic work, and trauma-informed modalities. I also hold advanced training in psychedelic-assisted therapy and provide preparation and integration coaching for clients exploring that space.

I do not use a one-size-fits-all approach. Every treatment plan is built around your specific goals and how you operate in the world.

Yes. I see clients in-person at my Los Gatos office and via teletherapy for anyone located in California. The approach, structure, and quality of work are the same regardless of format. Most of my clients choose teletherapy for the flexibility it provides around demanding schedules.

Yes. Confidentiality is non-negotiable. What happens in session stays in session. There are a small number of legally required exceptions (imminent harm to self or others, abuse of a minor or dependent adult, and court orders), which I review with every client at the start of our work. Outside of those, nothing leaves the room.

I am a private-pay practice and do not accept insurance directly. There are a few reasons for this.

  • Insurance requires a clinical diagnosis on file, which becomes part of your permanent medical record. For high-performing professionals, this can create complications with life insurance, security clearances, and other areas where a mental health diagnosis is flagged.
  • Insurance also places limits on session frequency and treatment duration that do not align with how I work. My clients deserve a treatment plan built around their goals, not around what an insurance company is willing to authorize.
  • If you have a PPO plan, I can provide a superbill (detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

I accept credit, debit, HSA, and FSA cards. Payment is processed automatically through the client portal after each session. Cash is also accepted.

Sessions are 50 minutes, whether in-person or via teletherapy.

I require 48 hours’ advance notice for cancellations. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged at the full session rate. You can cancel via text, email, phone, or through the client portal.

I work with teens (ages 13+) and adults.

I work with individuals, couples, and teens. My practice is inclusive of all genders and sexual orientations. My primary focus is on founders, executives, high-performing professionals, and new fathers, but I also work with their partners and families.

Yes. I believe in the work I do, and I invest in my own growth the same way I ask my clients to invest in theirs.

Therapy with me works best when you are willing to be honest, direct, and engaged. I will bring the same energy. If something is not working, I expect you to say so, and I will do the same. The clients who get the most out of this work are the ones who treat it with the same seriousness they bring to their professional life.

There is plenty of parking for clients in the parking lot located by the main entrance to the building.
